What’s happening?
The customer inquired about the possibility of scaling up their sandbox environment for a specific project, particularly concerning the maximum number of batch threads that can be executed on batch servers.

Reason:
It was confirmed that the existing sandbox environment cannot be scaled up. In a production environment, the scaling is determined by the licenses used, while in a sandbox environment, it is based on the add-ons utilized.

Resolution:
To scale up the sandbox environment, the customer needs to purchase add-ons that correspond to their desired scaling requirements. Once the add-ons are acquired, they can deploy a new sandbox environment using these add-ons. For further details on purchasing add-ons, the customer can refer to the following documentation: - Title: Environment Planning - Purchasing Add-on Environments - URL: https://learn.microsoft.com/ja-jp/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/organization-administration/environment-planning#purchasing-add-on-environments
Additionally, the maximum number of batch threads is set to a default of 8. If the customer wishes to configure the maximum number of batch threads, they can refer to the following documentation: - Title: Configure the Maximum Number of Batch Threads - URL: https://learn.microsoft.com/ja-jp/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/sysadmin/optimize-data-migration#configure-the-maximum-number-of-batch-threads
It is important to note that setting the thread count to 16 or higher may negatively impact performance, and a warning message is expected to be displayed in such cases.
