What’s happening?
The FIN tag field is unavailable in the Customer Free Text Invoice Data entity.
Reason:
The FIN tag field is not currently supported for the Customer Free Text Invoice (FTI) data entity. This limitation is confirmed by internal checks and documentation indicating that only certain journals and transactions have added FIN tag support, and FTI is not included in this list.
Resolution:
Free text invoices support financial tags since version 10.0.38 and the free text invoice entities (FreeTextInvoiceEntity and FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity) support tags like the general journal entities (LedgerJournalEntity and LedgerJournalLineEntity) do since D365 Finance version 10.0.42.
In version 10.0.42, enable Add support for financial tags to the free text invoice entity within data management feature since Feature management workspace.
When enabling this feature, an organization can now import financial tag values for free text invoice documents. This change will add support for tags to the following entity within Data management: FreeTextInvoiceEntity and FreeTextInvoiceLineEntity. The entity will support tag values for both the header and lines of the free text invoice.
