What’s happening?
While importing bulk data, customers encounter errors indicating that specific records do not exist for certain data sources. For example, errors may state that a matching record with a specific key for a data source does not exist.
 

Reason:
This is typically related to data inconsistencies for specific entities and records within the Data Management Framework (DMF). The errors suggest that the data being imported does not match existing records in the system.
 

Resolution:

  1. Initial Modifications: Make necessary modifications to the data in the Excel file used for import to resolve initial errors.
  2. Export Project Creation: Create a DMF export project using the same entity that was used for the import. Export the data to Excel.
  3. Data Addition: Use the exported Excel file to add the data that needs to be imported.
  4. Reattempt Import: Try the import process again with the modified Excel file.
If issues persist, consult with the related applications team for further assistance, especially if the error is isolated to specific entities and records.
