What’s happening?
Users are unable to modify financial period close templates or create new closing schedules in the financial period close configuration. They can view the New button, but upon clicking, the fields are non-editable.
Reason:
This was identified as being related to denied access to certain menu items due to privilege configuration. Specifically, the Maintain financial period close setup privilege had denied Create/Delete/Update access to several menu items.
Resolution:
- Review the user security role and ensure that the necessary permissions are granted.
- Grant access to the following menu items for the Maintain financial period close setup privilege:
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSECALENDARCREATION
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSECALENDARCREATIONEDIT
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSECALENDARDATE
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSECONFIGURATION
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSECOPYTEMPLATE
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSENEWTEMPLATE
- LEDGERPERIODCLOSEPROJECTCREATION
- Confirm that the changes have been made in the production environment and test the functionality to ensure users can now modify templates and create schedules.
