What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing challenges while migrating data from On-Prem SQL Server to Microsoft Dataverse, specifically related to the creation and configuration of a gateway.
Reason:
The underlying cause of this appears to be difficulties in finding and creating the necessary gateway for the data migration process.
Resolution:
- The customer should follow the documentation provided for setting up the on-premises data gateway. This includes:
- If the customer encounters issues with service admin or tenant admin access while configuring the gateway, they should coordinate with their internal team to resolve these access issues.
- It is recommended to review the limitations and requirements for importing data into Microsoft Dataverse
