Applies to Product - Power Platform Administration

What’s happening?
Customers report that newly created PowerApps environments are stuck in a "Preparing" state for an extended period, preventing access and usage.

Reason:
The environments may have encountered a known issue during provisioning, particularly if they were created without a Dataverse database. This can lead to the environments being stuck in the "Preparing" state.

Resolution:

  1. Confirm the creation date and details of the affected environments.
  2. Check if the environments were created with or without a database.
  3. If the environments are confirmed to be stuck, the Product Team can address the provisioning state and re-sync the environment to resolve any corrupted properties.
  4. After the environment state is fixed, verify that the environments are in a "Ready" state.
  5. If necessary, the customer can retry adding a database to the environment after it has been set to "Ready."
  6. For further assistance, the customer can reach out to support for additional troubleshooting.
If this persists, the customer may need to consider deleting the environments and provisioning new ones.
