What’s happening?
Customers are experiencing issues with importing solutions that include dataflows, where the dataflow does not reflect in the target environment after the import.

Reason:

  • The dataflow may have reached an invalid state in one environment while remaining active in another.

Resolution:
  1. For Dataflow Import Issues:
    1. Verify the solution import status by checking the import logs in the target environment for any errors or warnings. Ensure the import status is “Succeeded” and not “Failed” or “In Progress”.
    2. Review dependencies to ensure all necessary components for the dataflow are included in the solution. Missing dependencies can cause components to not be imported correctly.
    3. Check for missing components that the dataflow relies on in the target environment.
    4. Ensure the dataflow is part of the solution being imported. Open the solution package and verify that the dataflow is included.
    5. Confirm that the correct version of the dataflow is included in the import.
    6. Ensure that the dataflow is correctly configured in the target environment. Adjust configurations as needed post-import.
    7. Update connections if the dataflow connections and data sources need to be updated for the target environment.
    8. Ensure that necessary security roles and permissions are in place for the dataflow to be visible and usable in the target environment.
    9. Verify that there are no specific issues or configurations in the target environment affecting the visibility or functionality of the dataflow.
    10. Clear the cache or refresh the target environment to ensure that the import changes are properly reflected.
  2. If issues persist, consider manually recreating the dataflows in the target environment.
If the above steps do not resolve this, further assistance from the support team may be required.
