Insight Works, a leader in the manufacturing and distribution industry vertical for Dynamics 365 Business Central, is gearing up to launch V2 of its WMS app for Business Central – the highly successful productivity add-on Warehouse Insight, slated for availability by end of March of this year.
While the app itself dates back to 2008, Insight Works representatives are touting the new features of V2 including customization functionality for the built-in App Designer feature, which allows all apps within Warehouse Insight to be supported in App Designer; embedded license plates; configurable offline apps; improved tablet support and configurable quantity/print dialogs.
“We have always marketed Warehouse Insight as the productivity add-on no warehouse should be without, and the V2 release will undoubtedly take this philosophy to the next level,” states Brian Neufeld, Insight Works’ Director of Marketing. “As it stands, Warehouse Insight remains the premier add-on for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for anyone looking for mobile device integration, barcode scanning and advanced warehouse functionality; this innovative product brings mobile device integration to a warehouse setting, enabling workers – using a handheld device – to perform warehouse functions from the warehouse floor, all in real-time.
“Warehouse Insight for Business Central includes over 25 apps to help streamline operations in a way that’s, quite frankly, unprecedented.”
Highlights of the Warehouse Insight apps include an inquiry app that enables users to instantly view detailed information; inventory count app which provides a better method for managing full physical inventory counts and cycle counts; license plating, which enables users to build up pallets or boxes of mixed products and identify the grouping via a single barcode; consumption/output/count assembly apps, allowing users to easily manage their production environment; pick app, allowing warehouse workers to pick sales orders, transfer orders or pick documents; movement app which helps facilitate both ad-hoc on-the-fly movements and directed movements generated in Business Central and more.
Insight Works reps are encouraging those interested in V2 of the Warehouse Insight app to reach out to their Microsoft partners, check out Microsoft AppSource or visit www.WMSforDynamics.com for more information.
