Nashville Takes Home GPUG 2013 'Regional Chapter of the Year' Award

Congratulations to the Nashville GPUG Chapter that was just announced as the 2013 Regional Chapter of the Year!

The award was announced and presented by GPUG Program Coordinator Whitney Derks during the Regional Chapter Networking Lunch today at GPUG Summit in Tampa, FL.  Accepting the award on behalf of the Nashville Chapter were outgoing Chairperson Vonzella Bryant, Communications Chairperson Wendy Fancher, and Membership Chairperson Michael Jett.  Incoming Chairperson Steven Burney was unable to be here in person, and Vonzella could hardly wait to call him with the great news!

Nominations for the award are submitted by Chapter Leaders and selected by the GPUG Regional Chapter Advisory Board, headed by GPUG Member Rick Zick of Mr. Beers.

The Nashville Chapter is made up of individuals from around 40 organizations who meet regularly at the offices of various member organizations. Topics that were highlighted at Nashville's meetings this year include new features of Dynamics GP 2013, Management Reporter, SSRS Reports, Excel Report Builder, ISV Solutions and Electronic Banking.  The Nashville Chapter does an outstanding job of incorporating the pillars of GPUG - Connect, Learn and Share - into each and every meeting.  Chapter attendees - who are a mix of technology-focused and finance/accounting-focused folks - use fun 'ice-breakers' to get to know one another, share the latest news and upcoming events, engage in lively roundtable discussions, take advantage of web-based recorded trainings, share their own 'User Showcase' presentations to show others how they're using Dynamics GP, and learn from local ISVs and subject matter experts.

Nashville Chapter leaders are strong advocates for GPUG Collaborate and are continuing to drive engagement in their Chapter community by urging folks to get involved, participate in discussions, and stay connected virtually with Chapter members via their community.

Of the Nashville Chapter, Vonzella says, “At two years old, the Nashville Regional Chapter is a model for user growth and development opportunities. We believe all of our members have something important to share. GPUG’s Nashville Regional Chapter is a place to connect with others to develop our presentation skills and practice presenting what we know to others. We are learning from each other and our valued Partners how to get more value from Dynamics GP and related ISV products. We believe this adds value to our life, our careers and the organizations where we work.”

Congratulations, Nashville Chapter, and thank you to Vonzella, Wendy, Michael and Steven! GPUG's Regional Chapters are an extremely valuable resource for Dynamics GP users across North America....and this program would not be possible without the contributions of awesome volunteer Chapter Leaders like you.  Well done, Nashville!
