Building on your 4th point – sometimes salespeople are indeed blinded by the prospect of new multi-million deals without realizing the total value of the customer base they have earned already, probably because such repeated sales would be incremental and delayed in time.

Still I found an interesting correlation between this drive to close more deals with existing customers and the potential of Dynamics CRM itself to assist with this mission. Think of how the platform can help to identify different leads connected through organizational structure or ownership within same large accounts that you already have? Or how CRM alerts can suggest the right time and approach to re-engage existing customers even after a sale? I’ve put together some of the possible answers here www.scnsoft.com/.../b2b-crm-system-as-a-profit-generation-tool just to suggest how salespeople can use the CRM technology in their quest for these much-desired 8-figure deals
