Storage Capacity in Power Platform – Part IV

Roma Gupta Profile Picture Roma Gupta 725

Did you also love the insights that Microsoft has provided us in the Power Platform? I am amazed & enjoying reading & writing about it so far. You can read my previous blog on File Usage here.

We are on the final section of Storage Capacity which is Log Usage but before that a brief just so that we are clear.

There are mainly three sections divided on Capacity of the selected environment & its relevant graphical composition

1. Database usage & Top database capacity use, by table

2. File Usage & Top file capacity use, by table

3. Log usage Top log capacity use, by table

Log Usage: It will tell you about the overall log size of the environment. It is not just limited to plugin trace and audit logs of Dynamics 365. ‘Learn more’ will redirect you to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/free-storage-space#reduce-log-storage

Log Usage & Top log capacity use, by table: The X & Y-axis of the graph is the usage in MB and Days in range respectively.

You can easily hover over the dots to get the table name & its exact size on that day

The chart menu has the following options:

1. View full screen – the current chart will be available in full screen

2. Download PNG – the chart will be downloaded in PNG format

Keep reading, keep enjoying, keep exploring!

PS – Power Platform Portal is still under Preview & is subjected to change
