ReportWhen you set up a link between a financial dimension and the site inventory dimension, your legal entity can calculate profit and loss figures for each site. Use the following procedures to configure and manage financial dimension links for sites:
Set up a financial dimension link to a site
Activate the financial dimension link
Lock the financial dimension link
Unlock the financial dimension link
Deactivate the financial dimension link
A-SETUP
1- Create the Financial dimensions
General ledger / chart of acccounts / dimensions / Financial dimensions
click new to custom dimension and assign the name for example (Site)
as you see, site Financial dimensions inactive, just click active
note,
you can select this dimension as a segment in Configure account structures until activated
click on dimension values form to create your sites (Financial dimensions)
2-Configure account structures
General ledger /Chart of accounts /structures /Configure account structures
create new structure
and click add segment to select the site Financial dimension
you can allow blank or not as you like and click activate
3- setup Ledger
add your account structure to leger
General ledger /ledger setup /ledger
click edit to add your account structure
4- Activate dimension link
cost management/ ledger integration policies Setup / Dimension link:
click edit and the dimension to linked to the storage dimension site
click sites to linked the storage dimension site
now Financial dimension tab is visible and ready to link the storage dimension site
click activate
then ok and wait until operation complete
now dimension link activated
B-Transaction
if you make counting journal , you can see the site Financial dimension retrieved automatically as the below
as the same for all inventory journals and all transactions that related to inventory.
