Export Field Translations

Localizable fields are an amazing feature where end users can view it in their language and can work easily. In this way, the dependency of knowing ‘English’ language could be removed and the user will have an easy time inheriting the Dynamics 365.
To use this in your Dynamics 365, let’s start with basic and we will keep on moving to the next levels. Export Field translations are under Settings > Data Management > Export Field Translations

Click Ok and a .zip file will be downloaded for you.
Extract it and observe that both [Content_Types] & CrmFieldTranslations are XML document.
CrmFieldTranslations contains Information & Localized labels tabs
Information focusses around your organization and its base language and code, whereas Localized Labels refers to Entity name, its Object ID, object column name, and of course base language label.

The file contains general labels. You need to add now on column E, the language code which you need to use, and add labels.

We will talk in detail in the next blog on how to start localizing an entity with custom language translation. Do check out tip section in next blog!
Note – This feature is available for both Dynamics 365 CRM CE as well as On-premise Dynamics CRM
