Azure Synapse for using entity store data  and ADL Azure Data Lake with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

Already we can use as of today a number of data choices in ADLS viz.

Analytical workspaces web edit (PU26)

Analytical workspaces with PowerBI.com (PU28)

BYOD to extract data into Data warehouses

Upcoming Azure Synapse service is expected to be built into Dynamics 365 FinOps so that your analytical workspaces can continue to work over data stored in customer owned ADL.

Azure Synapse service would create T-SQL views over the data in ADL so that Reports designed to work over Entity store continue to work with data in ADL while Dynamics 365 FinOps will update the reports via a service update
