Guide Your Investment in Microsoft Dynamics GP with Updated Statement of Direction

The new release for Microsoft Dynamics® GP has been called a few things, but the new Statement of Direction has set the record straight.  Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 is scheduled to release in Q4 of 2012.  Since you have some time before the new version is released, now is a good time to work with your software vendor to plan out a successful upgrade.

Microsoft Dynamics GP is a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) software designed to be simple, provide value, and be agile.  Users find this software to be easy to learn and use right out of the box.  It can be customized to match your unique business needs and can be modified to change as your business needs change.  Continuing to strive to make this software solution better, Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 has four new major features that will provide even more value to users.

  1. Web Client Option:  whether running on-premises or in the cloud, you will be able to access Microsoft Dynamics GP from a web browser on your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile devices.  This will make deployment time faster by saving the time to install software on every user’s computer, and will also extend the availability of the software to others in your office.
  2. Cloud deployment features:  more and more businesses are trying new and innovative cloud capabilities.  Using cloud technology can reduce costs and make it easier to share data.  Cloud deployment is yet another option that you can evaluate in an effort to save money, time, and optimize the use of your software solution.
  3. Enhanced core functionality:  there are too many new features to name in this short blog.  In an effort to reduce key strokes, save time, and t get useful information faster, Microsoft has made improvements to how users use their software.  One notable change is the improved Role Tailored user interface that offers more context-sensitive charts and Fact Boxes.  Reducing the steps and keystrokes needed to complete a task, especially with high volume transaction entries, users will improve productivity and data accuracy – getting more done in less time.
  4. Rapid Start Services:  streamlining the individual configuration of a company’s Microsoft Dynamics GP will reduce the time often needed to deploy the software – by days.  Companies will be able to deploy faster, which means reaping the benefits of the software faster.

Your new Microsoft Dynamics GP upgrade will further improve productivity and accuracy of your critical business data.  Contact BDO Solutions-Canada for more information about the upcoming upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013.
