When Microsoft has the great Microsoft Office team and the also great Microsoft Dynamics 365 team in the same company, it is a great idea to have coffee together every once in a while and share common knowledge. This is what the outspoken CEO of Hootsuite, Ryan Holmes, practices with random coffee dates. And this is what must have happened since the Marketing Pages and Marketing Forms features in the new preview of Dynamics 365 for Marketing are very similar to Microsoft Publisher. Here is a look.

If this reminds you of a newsletter template in Microsoft Publisher, this is perfectly normal! You can easily drag and drop text blocks, images and dividers as well as manage their properties (color, font, size, etc.) just as you would in Publisher.
There are other features that are interesting such as adding a form (to capture customer’s information), adding a button to allow the user to perform some action, HTML editing to customize beyond what it possible with drag and drop and natively link everything to a web portal where you can track visitors statistics.
I am sure based on Microsoft’s past behavior (as well as the one of ISV) that companies who love Publisher will be able to import their documents in Dynamics 365 and make the appropriate links.
Which two Microsoft teams should go on random coffee dates and collaborate to create a great features like marketing pages in Dynamics 365?
