Excel Addin for D365FO - Design option

In this post, we will discuss an advanced option of excel add-in data connector i.e design option which provides us the designer experience. We can add multiple data sources their fields (or) missing fields to the spreadsheet. For demo purpose, I would like to bring the company field to the customer group data exported through excel add-in option.
Step 1: Design node is available in the excel-add-in window(boxed in red color).
Step 2: On clicking the design node, add-in tries to bring the available entity names.
Step 3: Datasource CustomerGroup appears and click on the edit icon(boxed in red color) to display the fields.
Step 4: Select dataAreaId from the available field list.
Step 5: Click on the Add button underneath the Selected fields group to add the dataAreaId column. Click on update button.
Step 6: A message appears whether to continue with the refresh of data or not, click on yes to process further.
Step 7: On clicking the update button, the company column appears along with its values. Likewise, we can bring required/missing fields and also we can add related data sources to the spreadsheet.
