Dynamix Tip: Activating Financial Dimension

Hello there D.M.-azing D365 Community!

Here’s some quick Dynamix Tip to have in mind when setting up Financial Dimension.

When maintaining a Financial Dimension, especially a new one, you may have noticed that it still has an ‘Inactive’ status.

An Inactive status on Financial Dimension means:

1. The financial dimension cannot be used.
2. The financial dimension cannot be added into an Account structure.

We have a Dynamix Tip to successfully activate an Account structure.

Aside from the process of simply clicking the ‘Activate’ button on the action pane to gain an Active status for a Financial Dimension.

We should also need to assure that the Maintenance mode for the Dynamics 365 FO environment where you are working is enabled and this can be done with the help of our technical team by running maintenance job from LCS, or using Deployment.Setup tool locally.
