Dynamics 365 Installation – Part 4 – Installing full text search on SQL Servers

The following procedure describes and shows steps to install full-text search feature using SQL Server setup wizard. Full-text search feature must be installed right after SQL server installation is done on DB machines.

1- Right click this file and Run as Administrator

2- You will see setup wizard like this. Proceed with installation with suitable option.

3- On SQL server machine; run the Setup file of SQL server.

4- Click on the option as highlighted in below screenshot.

5- Wait a while for next action to perform. Click Next.

6- On “Installation Type” step select the option “Add features to an existing instance of SQL Server 2016”

7- On feature selection screen, select the checkbox indicating “Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for ….” and click Next.

8- Wait for this step to complete and click Next button when it is enabled.

9- Click Install.

10- Wait for installation to complete then click Next.

11- Full-text and Semantics Extension feature is installed successfully.
