Microsoft brings Teams, Power Platform, new certifications to its US Government cloud offering

 Microsoft is announcing a series of updates to its US government cloud services today that including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365. The company will add new services, including Microsoft Teams and Power Platform, and will meet new cloud certification guidelines.

Power Platform for Government, which covers Power BI, Flow, and PowerApps are also generally available for government agencies and their partners in GCC as standalone apps, according to Microsoft. PowerApps and Flow are the additions here, joining Power BI. PowerApps and Flow will "also land in Microsoft 365 and Office 365" in 2019, according to a Microsoft blog postby Toni Townes-Whitley, Microsoft's US Regulated Industries president.

Microsoft 365 Government will add Microsoft Teams alongside other parts of Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security, and Windows 10. Teams is now available in Government Community Cloud (GCC) High (it was already available in the GCC) and Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

And Microsoft 365 Government will be launching new capabilities in Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) P2 for GCC to protect email, according toCatherine Boeger, general manager of Microsoft 365 Commercial GTM.
