Write Product Marketing Descriptions in Seconds with Copilot in Business Central
In the fast-moving world of digital commerce, the ability to describe your products persuasively can make or break a sale. But let’s be honest — writing unique, engaging marketing text for every item in your catalog can be tedious.
Microsoft’s Copilot in Dynamics 365 Business Central changes that. It’s not just a time-saving feature — it’s an intelligent writing assistant built right into your ERP, designed to help you turn product data into polished, customer-ready descriptions.
Most businesses already maintain detailed product data in Business Central — specifications, dimensions, color, brand, and price. However, this data often remains technical and dry. That’s where Copilot comes in.
Using generative AI, Copilot reads through your product information and automatically suggests marketing-friendly descriptions. What was once just “Stainless Steel Bottle, 750ml” can now become:
“Stay hydrated wherever you go with our durable 750ml stainless-steel bottle — lightweight, eco-friendly, and designed for your active lifestyle.”
In a few seconds, you get text that sounds professional, human, and ready for your website, catalog, or marketplace listing.
How Businesses Can Use It
Open your Item Card in Business Central.
Click on the Marketing Text field.
Choose “Copilot – Suggest Marketing Text.”
Review, edit, and save — simple as that!
Customize the AI Output
If the first suggestion isn’t perfect, you don’t need to start over. Copilot lets you regenerate the text using flexible options that guide the AI’s creativity:
-
Tone: Formal, casual, inspiring, upbeat, or creative
-
Format: Tagline, paragraph, tagline + paragraph, or brief
-
Emphasis: Innovation, sustainability, power, elegance, reliability, or speed
This means you can instantly align your product description with your audience — from a technical datasheet to an emotional brand story.
When you’re happy with the result, just click Keep it — the text appears in the Marketing Text FactBox on the item card. You can always revisit it later by selecting Edit to refine the message or click Draft with Copilot to generate something completely new.
