There has been some confusion regarding the new CRM App for Outlook which is currently only available in Microsoft Dynamics Online 2015 Update 1 as a preview feature.  The Microsoft articles below provide more details including prerequisites and a detailed comparison to the existing Dynamics CRM for Outlook.

The excerpt and chart below highlight the differences between the two applications.

Dynamics CRM for Outlook (sometimes called the “Outlook client”) is a full-featured add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook. With Dynamics CRM for Outlook, you can do all your CRM work within the familiar Outlook interface; you can even work offline. Dynamics CRM App for Outlook is a lightweight app that enables you to easily track incoming email wherever you are.
