PSService – a useful utility in controlling program on a remote pc
Last night, I came to know about a useful utility for a remote desktop scenario. Before writing more details,I would like to note here that this post is not related to Ax, but it contains useful details for the dynamics Developers who develop on remote machines. This post is addressing more like an infrastructure issue, that may come across during development on remote computer. This post is talking about the “PSService ” utility.
I was working on two pcs yesterday and I was trying to remote desktop one of the pc which didn’t have remote desktop enabled but that pc had team viewer installed which was unfortunately not started and I had some urgent work to do on that pc. I was able to ping and access the directories on the remote pc. This was the moment where “PS service” came to me as a savior.
So what is “PsService”?
Ps service is the utility or an executable file that helps you run the commands on the remote pc through console without doing remote desktop.
Alright how does it work?
You need to download the tool on the machine which will run the command on the remote machine

That’s interesting what can I do with it
First check remote desktop service and team viewer service is running or not
Ok, it is not running now start the service
Start the exe, wait “PsService” can only run service, it can’t run executable. Wait it come with set of tools that can do work for me. How about PSExec utility in that
Hurray!! My pc is up an running and I can connect to it now by some other software
