COVID-19 and Winthrop Development Consultants

As my email inbox is getting filled with COVID-19 related updates from almost every company I have dealt with in the past, I thought I would not perpetuate the situation with another email.

But then I thought, would people be concerned if they had not heard from us? So I decided I would post something as a blog article instead, and here it is ….

From the end of the year 2019 and into the year 2020 has turned out to be an unprecedented time for everyone on the planet with the COVID-19 coronavirus spreading throughout the population.

While we are being extra careful on a personal level and listening to the advice and recommendations from the medical and government authorities, I just wanted to clarify that the virus will have very little consequences as far as Winthrop Development Consultants is concerned.

Winthrop Development Consultants conducts almost all of its business over the internet and this will not change. The only personal contact occurs when attending conferences.

At this stage Dynamic Communities have confirmed that at the moment the two conferences we are planning to attend are still going ahead. The conferences are the GP Tech conference (24-26 August in Fargo, ND, USA) and Community Summit North America (6-9 October in Nashville, TN, USA). I am also planning to run the following GPUG Academy training in Nashville:

• Dexterity Training 5 Day Bootcamp (28 September – 2 October)*
• GP Power Tools Training Workshop (5 October)*

The situation for the conferences will need to be reviewed closer to the time and depends on what the US and Australian authorities decide, as well as what Dynamic Communities decides to do.

Please wash your hands and practice social distancing and most importantly… keep safe and sane.
