Microsoft Release Update Cadence & News Info Bytes for First Part of 2016

Those in the "KNOW" have shared with us a few tid-bits of information about upcoming news and priorities from Microsoft and Dynamics GP. Terry Heley is an Escalation Engineer for Microsoft Dynamics, and she has a few things to say about the upcoming Microsoft Updates.

No US Payroll 941 form changes or US and Canadian Payroll tax update changes going forward! Micorsoft's next big focus is on the release of Dynamics GP 2016. 

Look back here or at Customis.com for new information about system requirements and the targeted release date of May 2016. Also there will be "feature of the day" articles starting in April to hash through all of the new exciting and cool additional features for Microsoft Dynamics GP users.

A few immediately known features include:

• All-in One Document Viewer was so popular for Dynamics 2015 that it has been enhanced and enlarged for 2016
• Increased default Word templates for batch related workflows
• Document attach for Project Expenses
• Payroll posting account setup - a revamp to add more of what users want when creating detailed posting accounts (copy, paste, import/export and sorting)
• HTML 5 WebClient
• and MANY MORE......

A few that you will not find as features, but are big wins for me as more customers move of Business Portal, these items will be added to self-service Human Resource Attendance time not available to employees on the Home/Tile page (only paystub)  added more areas to view time available. Self Service Managers cannot see Employee Available Time for Vacation, Sick, Float, etc, harder for them to approve when they cannot see available balance.
