Chaitanya Golla Profile Picture Chaitanya Golla 17,225

Hi,

Document management in D365FO helps us to attach documents of different types(like Microsoft Word document, bitmap, comma separated file, jpeg/jpg images, text document, Visio etc) and we can choose the options to save it on Blob(which is by default) or on a SharePoint site. It mainly helps us in auditing purposes of different transactions performed by customer, vendors and so on. In this post, I will discuss the configuration and setup of document management in D365FO.

Step 1: In D365FO, navigate to the form Document management parameters(Path: Organization administration > Document management > Document management parameters) and on the General fast tab set option "Use Automatic document tables" to No(Will explain about this option in my next post)

Step 2: Click on the settings icon on the toolbar and select user options.

Step 3: Select fast tab Preferences on the user options form and move on to the group Miscellaneous and enable the option "Enable document handling".This step completes the setup of document management in D365FO.
