Two Against One: You Would Be Surprised Which Has the Upper Hand

business intelligence as a serviceMore is better right?  I’d pick more cookies or extra coffee breaks if I could. Usually having more things can be better than less until it comes to business management software.  Multiple, disparate business software programs are a challenge to manage, as well as expensive.

Businesses often choose several specialty software programs to manage specific operations, which may be useful for the individual departments. It isn’t useful for getting a “bird’s eye view” of your entire enterprise.  Businesses then turn to their IT department to customize connections, forcing integration of the separate software programs.  Although possible, it takes time and expertise – which translates to extra costs and not much of a guarantee that it will work.  Plus, since most software requires occasional updates, you’ll get hit with fees each time you need to reconnect the upgraded solutions.

Save time and money by using a single, integrated solution instead of separate solutions.  A truly integrated solution is much easier to use, manage, and is more affordable than several separate programs.  Case in point – Biagi Bros. selected a comprehensive, integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for their national transportation and warehousing operation out of Napa, California.  Biagi Bros. was having a hard time tracking over 300 semis and 700 tractor-trailers and their high-volume of inventory scattered nationwide.  Biagi Bros. sought the assistance of Blue Horseshoe to match them with the right technology to control traveling inventory and warehouse management.  Together, Biagi Bros. and Blue Horseshoe decided to implement Microsoft Dynamics® AX with Blue Horseshoes’ WAX, and Business Intelligence as a Service (BIAS).  This fully-integrated solution offers the ability to control and manage their entire enterprise from a single ERP solution.  Now, Biagi Bros. uses real-time data from their ERP solution to track shipments and make sure their customers are getting the products they need, when they need them.  In addition, monitoring key metrics provides the additional insight they need to streamline operations, improving both productivity and profitability.

While more may seem better, in the case of business management solutions, one has the upper-hand.  An integrated ERP solution is far more efficient and affordable than disparate software solutions.  The experts at Blue Horseshoe can offer the guidance you need to exchange multiple programs for an ERP solution that you can use to drive growth.  Contact Blue Horseshoe for more information about the business technology that is suited for your exact business needs.
