User Interface - Navigation

Quick Jump

Why this feature is cool!

In Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011, you can quickly find your way back to the screens or reports recently accessed with the navigation pane.  Accidentally closed a screen?  Ran that report just yesterday? The Navigation pane keeps a history of the screens and reports you have opened, similar to Internet Explorer.  From this the dropdown list, you can jump to the application or the report screen by simply clicking on the “link”.

What does it look like?

The navigation toolbar in Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011

Click on any recently opened screens and reports including the company information to open that function.  A fast way to get to the screens and reports you frequently use.

Use the breadcrumbs in the toolbar to jump within the menu system.

The following screens show you additional tips and tricks to speed up navigation.

The Forward and Back buttons scroll through the recently opened screens and reports.

The drop down box shows the Travel History

The path of a screen or report can also be typed in as well.

Drop down boxes show the options available at each level of navigation
