WMS Packing – Container Type – Part 4

In the previous post we had a look at the location directive. Now when the goods arrive in the packing location we want to have something to put them into. This could be a box or anything that we pack into to ship the goods.  In AX this is a container and the container has information like the tare weight so that we can calculate the shipping weight of the container and product later.

As mentioned in the video, it’s worth noting that there was some changes made in CU11 to add units and additional measurements to the container setup. See this post for more information. I’ll cover in a follow-up post with a walk through.
