July 2017 Edition: What’s new in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations

The latest update of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations (earlier known as Dynamics 365 for Operations) offers a host of new functionality, making tasks easier and more efficient for users. The update comes with the launch of major standalone applications Dynamics 365 for Talent (which includes Talent apps and core HR), Dynamics 365 for Sales (with LinkedIn Sales Navigator), and Dynamics 365 for Retail in addition to enhancements with focus on financial management, bringing together all the back-office systems into one platform with enhanced financial capability. You can access and deploy this update immediately through Azure Active Directory.

Standalone Apps

The July Edition introduces some new offerings and standalone apps that connect data across the enterprise, and aid in making faster, better decisions.

Dynamics 365 for Sales comes with the Microsoft Relationship Sales solution that integrates LinkedIn Sales Navigator with Dynamics 365 for Sales, enabling:

  • Sellers to build stronger and better relationships with buyers
  • Sales organizations to achieve higher productivity
  • Sellers to connect disparate data across CRM, social networks, and productivity systems, such as Office 365 and LinkedIn, in order to unify sales experience
  • Sales staff to leverage relationship-centered insights and deliver personalized engagement
