It’s that time of year again! Wow, this year is just flying by, isn’t it?
July 1st is nearly upon us and that means for those of us using Dynamics GP & Canadian Payroll, you might have a tax update to install! How else would you want to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, eh?
Reminder: Dynamics GP 2013 CanPay users
This is the last year for tax updates! If you haven’t started planning your upgrade, you may want to start soon. By next year this time, you won’t be able to get a tax update for the 2018 Mid-Year update.
Where to get it
Here’s where to get the updates. As of writing this (June 20th), GP 2013’s update is already posted; GP 2015 and GP 2016 updates are coming soon.
- Dynamics GP 2013 R2 (link removed, no longer valid): version 12.00.2181
- Dynamics GP 2015 R2 (link removed, no longer valid): version 14.00.1052
- Dynamics GP 2016 R2 (link removed, no longer valid): version 16.00.0611
Who needs it
This year the only tax changes are for PEI and Saskatchewan in terms of tax changes.
If you don’t have payroll obligations in those two provinces, you may not need the mid year update as there are no rate changes for other provinces.
In each of the updates, there is at least 1 other change for the UK (all 3 releases of Dynamics GP), and various fixes for GP 2015 and GP 2016. Check out Terry Heley’s (Microsoft’s) blog post here for more details on what else is in the mid-year tax update service pack builds.
As always, keep your eyes peeled on Twitter or the official blogs for the release date for the other versions of Dynamics GP and languages!
