De-Dupe Dynamics 365

Microsoft Dynamics 365 includes default duplicate detection rules for accounts, contacts, and leads, but you can’t merge duplicates with the main record.

With De-dupe Dynamics by Skyline Consultants, Dynamics 365 users can their duplicate detection process. Users will have the ability to set the criteria for how duplicate records will be classified, publish duplicate detection rules, and run a search the entity (account, contact, or lead).

So how does it work?

De-dupe Dynamics, by Skyline Consultants, will merge multiple duplicate records into one, and allow the user to choose which record to keep as the master.

The view from the Dynamics 365

In the first column are shown fields names' that are mentioned on the Contact entity (in our example). Then, you can check which column will be “Master”, and which columns are “Duplicates”, or which one to Ignore. From each row, you can choose only one value. For example, the first column is Master, and the second and third columns are Duplicates. So, the email address you can merge from the third “duplicate” only, not from both. Once the user has verified the master record and fields to be merged, simply click “merge” and the duplicate records will then be deactivated, and the user automatically moves to the next duplicate group.

Depending on your needs, you can also change field criteria and create new rules anytime. These rules can include any combination of the account name, email address, first name, and last name fields.
