Dynamics 365 CRM Access Teams
Access Teams are quite useful when you want to share a record with another user.
Access Teams Templates cannot be imported in your solution imports. You need to do outside solution import. Otherwise you get an error.
Start getting used to Access Teams, you will have to do the following steps
Support User A wants to share a Contact record with User B
Follow below steps
1. Create a security role for Read/User level access
You need to provide user level read and write access to the contact entity apart from basic CRM security roles that gives access to Dynamics entity to the user.
2. Select Access Teams under Communications & Colloborations in your solution for the Contact entity
3. Then create the Access Templates from Settings->Security
4. Create a Team Template and then give Read/Write or whatever access.
5. Last step is go to the Contact->Main form under your unmanaged solution and insert 'SUB GRID' as below (which will show the Users Grid under your contact main form with the template applied as created in the step (4)
That's it you are good to go!
As as User A you can create a new entry in Contact and then add the User B in the User Sub Grid as follows, once done, User B inheritis the Acces Template privileges instantly without going through the security role changes. You can add many users/delete as you can.
