Issue with purchase order (Field 'Lot ID' must be filled in.)

Hello all, if I try to add a cost center to an order which has a line with a  procurement category only (a simple line with 1 procurement category and price), I get this error:

What I realize is that the site is missing, and this is strange because there is a warehouse in the line. When you add a warehouse, the site appears automatically, and if you delete the site, the warehouse also dissapears, so I am not sure how the user arrive to the situation where we have only warehouse and no site.

Even if I save it as it is I get the following errors:

Field 'Lot ID' must be filled in.
Field 'Company' must be filled in.

I am not sure how to solve this. I am not a developer so I am not sure if a consultant can solve this without a developer (other problem is that developers are external and need problem replicated, and I cant replicate this scenario).

Any idea how to solve this? thanks a lot!

    Hi Ricardo,

Can you tell us if this happens for one purchase order, some, or all? How was this order created? Using data entry by an end user or using a custom process? When I read the errors, I think it might be related to a customization that did set some values wrong and maybe forgot some to be set.
As you mentioned, when completing perform a manual action, the site is retrieved when completing a warehouse. This logic could be skipped in a customization.

hello, it happens with only 1 purchase order, it was created manually, but how exactly is a mystery, because I couldnt replicate having a line without site and with a warehouse: every time I added the warehouse, the site automatically appeared, and everytime I removed the site, the warehouse also dissapeared.

I think this caused a problem.

I cannot add the site again as I start getting the "lot id" and "company" errors.

    Thanks for your time

    Ricardo

    Hi,
It looks like a corrupted InventDim + Foreign trade category record combination. Can you check the record in table browser. (In Test environment first)
Take a help from developer to delete the record , and retry.

    Hi,

I have seen many threads with the same error also in previous versions, but nothing with a proposed fix that worked. One option could be open a ticket to the Microsoft support even if inthese cases is a shot in the dark...
