Errors when exporting a list/report to Excel

Hi,

For some reason, when I export a list/report from NAV 2018 to Excel, Excel changes the numbers on some columns. For example, I've seen that the quantity is multiplied by 100. So, if the quantity is 1 in NAV, it changes to 100 in Excel.

Also, I've seen that if I extract a list of Accounting balances per dimension from NAV to Excel, the Excel file copies the same amount on several rows, which isn't correct.

Sometimes the lists/reports that are extracted from NAV are completely correct in Excel. However, the problems that I've described above occurs occasionally

Does anyone know if this is a common issue when exporting a list/report from NAV to Excel?

Best regards,
Eva

    Hello,

Looks like an issue to me, what cumulative update is this. Are you able to reproduce this in standard CRONUS company and what client do you use? Web or Win?

    Thanks.

    Hi Marco,

It's CU 08. We have tried to reproduce this in our test environment and we don't get the same error as our customer. Since this problem only occurs occasionally according to our customer, could it perhaps be a setting in Excel that creates this problem and not NAV?

    Best regards,

    Eva

Hi, This is very strange. Is it related to the region and language settings of Application Server?

And if only the quantity is in question, is the Sales Unit of Measure set?

    For example:

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

    Hi Zhu,

    Thanks for your reply!

The Sales Unit of Measure is set. As you mentioned, I believe that this issue is related to the region and language settings of Application Server or perhaps a setting in Excel.

    Best regards,

    Eva

    Hello,

Best is to continue the testing in a more accurate CU. We are about to release CU48 (currently CU47):

    support.microsoft.com/.../cumulative-update-47-for-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2018-build-48023-ae9d94ea-2d4e-4a7b-9790-04a6664837db

This means this specific customer environment is running 39 / 40 CU's behind which is a lot.

    Thanks.
