Is there any way to manually override the default setting on the dates so that the report reads accurately and doesn't show variances in the check column?  When we run a report for a certain date range, that should be the only information that populates and that we are checking against.
I have the same question (1)

Hi, hope the following can give you some hints.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: Can we change default options/filters on the request page of Report???

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Financial reports in BC always follow your column layout, not just the date filter.
To make the Income Statement respect only the date range you enter (and remove Check variances), you must edit the column layout so each column uses Net Change + Date Filter, with no extra date formulas or comparison columns.
That’s the only way to “override” the behavior.

    Hello,

To ensure reports only show data for the specified date range and avoid variances in the check column, you need to override default date formulas by applying explicit date filters on the report request page and aligning column definitions or account schedules with the same date range (e.g., 01/01/2025..31/01/2025).

If variances persist, review and replace any default comparison formulas in the layout with fixed date filters or customize the report to ignore system defaults, so it strictly uses the user-defined date range for accurate reporting.
