Auto Population of Customer Group Dimension from Project Master During General Journal Import

The customer is importing General Journal transactions through Configuration Package in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central where the Project No. is populated on the journal lines. The Project master contains default dimensions including the Customer Group dimension.

Currently, during the import process, the system is not automatically inheriting the Customer Group dimension from the respective Project master onto the General Journal Line. Due to this, users are required to manually populate the dimension after import, increasing manual effort and risk of incorrect dimensional postings.

The customer requires the system to automatically derive and populate the Customer Group dimension from the related Project master whenever a valid Project No. is imported through the Configuration Package.
