Hi team,

I have to hide some vendors from the list as I have some special vendors, and it should only be visible to admin. Is it possible to do in business central. if yes how? and not then how to do the customizations.

You can utilize the Security Filter functionality of Business Central. It is very powerful but required proper configuration.

Hi,

Yes, you can hide specific vendors from non-admin users using Security Filters in Business Central.
Steps

Go to Permission Sets.

Select or create a permission set for restricted users.

On the Permissions page, find Vendor (TableData).

In the Security Filter column, add a filter like:

No. <> SPECIAL*

(Assuming your special vendors have a number series starting with SPECIAL).

Assign this permission set to the users who should have restricted access.

Important: If users have multiple permission sets granting access to Vendor table, the least restrictive filter applies.
If Standard Functionality Is Not Enough

Add a custom field like Special Vendor (Boolean) on Vendor table.

Modify the Vendor List page using AL to hide records where Special Vendor = TRUE for non-admin users.

Hi,

Other way as well as per customizations, you need to provide a boolean field in User setup , and make this true against that particular user and make customize vendor page according to that user and field.

Standard way : Use Security Filters to restrict vendor records so only admins can see the special vendors. You have to create multiple permission sets for this.

Customization : If security filters don’t fully meet your needs, you can add a field like Special Vendor and customize the Vendor List page to hide those records for non-admin users.
