Purchase Order Lines - sort by item number

I have a purchase order that is sorted by line number. I need the PO to be sorted by Item number.  I have sorted the column in the lines but it still revers back to line number sorting on printing the document.

    Hi Community member,
    As far as I know, in D365 F&O this is not supported in standard without customization.
    When you sort the lines in the purchase order form (by clicking the Item number column) it only affects the UI view. 
    However, it does not change the actual data order or the order used by the printed document.
    When the PO is printed, the system uses the original Line number (LineNum) sequence and the sort order defined in the SSRS report design.
    That is why it always reverts back to line number sorting on the printed document.
