114Hi everyone,
I’m facing an issue in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL development) related to option fields and extension dependencies.
🔹 Scenario
- I have Extension A, where I created a field on the Customer table:
field(50100; "Status"; Option)
{
OptionMembers = " ","New","Dormant","Warm Lead","Returning";
}
- This extension is already published in my environment.
- Later, I modified the OptionMembers (added/changed values) and republished Extension A.
The changes are correctly visible within Extension A.
🔹 Problem
- I have another Extension B, which has a dependency on Extension A.
- In Extension B, I am trying to use this field and its option values.
👉 However, in Extension B, I can still see only the old option members, not the updated ones.
🔹 What I tried
- Downloaded symbols multiple times
- Increased version of Extension A
- Rebuilt and republished Extension B
- But the issue still persists.
🔹 Expected Behavior
Extension B should reflect the updated option members from Extension A.
❓ Questions
- Why are updated option members not visible in the dependent extension?
- Is this a limitation of Option fields in Business Central?
