Hi Experts,

I have finished my production order for quantity 58. BOM contained 3 raw materials and there was one work center in the routing. Now I need to reverse all the entries related to that production order. Item ledger entries and capacity ledger entries. Nee to reverse capacity entries and need to add raw materials to the inventory and remove and remove all the 58 of SFG items. In the output line, I can see that only 57 is remaining. How Can I do It using the system.??

Business scenario:

Even though I have 58 of semi finished goods, Decide to disassemble the SFG to extract raw materials.

Hello,

You can’t directly reverse a finished production order in Business Central, but the standard way is to create and post a Disassembly Order for the semi-finished goods.

This consumes the SFG item and adds its original BOM components back to inventory, updating Item Ledger Entries correctly.

For capacity ledger entries, you need to offset them manually by posting a negative output journal or using the reversal option if available.

If only 57 units remain, disassemble that quantity since the missing one is likely already used or sold.

Don't reverse the Production Order because you'll lose the labor and overhead costs used to make it all.

You can do this simply by inventory adjustments. Pull the 57 SFG out of stock, and put the components in stock with the Item Journal or Physical Inventory Journal.

Hello,

To “undo” it, you must manually:

1. Post negative output to remove the 57 remaining SFG.

2. Post positive adjustments to return raw materials.

3. Post negative capacity entries to offset capacity.

BC cannot restore BOM consumption or routing entries automatically.
