Approved PR went back to Draft, via the EDIT button menu

Hi all PR gurus.
I had a PR created (Draft), submitted to WF, then it was Approved.

The system allowed going from Approved to Draft status, via the Edit menu button in the PR form Header.
This opened an information window indicating that after editing, the PR will have to be resubmitted. I then edited the PR & re-submitted, then re-approved the same (twice).

I am not sure what would have opened an APPORVED PR like above (We never could do it previously). But now I noticed the system will not allow me to do the same action steps as above - i.e. the PR remains approved.
Question is, what could enable me to edit an Approved PR?

Personally, I think it is capability / functionality worth having, on an Approved PR (as long as it was never prior converted to a PO / nor if it was prior partially converted).

I will appreciate your input.

I have the same question (0)

    Good day,

It makes sense that status changes to 'Draft' when you click on the 'Edit' button. If you click on 'Edit' you might do a change with may affect the already approved purchase requistion. Lets give an example. A user changes the price or the quantity. This change might lead to a higher amount of the purchas requisition. A higher amount might require an additional or new approval and therefore the system changes the purchase requisition to draft and the user has to submit it again for approval.

    Best regards,
    Laurens van der Tang
