How to use product bundle for service item in D365 SCM

Hi Folks
 
We are evaluating the Product Bundle feature for a service-based industry requirement. We noted that this functionality leverages BOM to explode components onto sales order lines. However, because the item is 'Service' type, the BOM functionality is restricted.
 
Is there any option to use product bundle for service based items ? Any recommendations ?
