If I go to General Posting Setup - Try to select a G/L account, I noticed that I cannot see the Account that has "subcategory", I can remove the Filter "Account type" and "Account Category" but since the "Acount Subcategory" filter I cannot remove I still can't see the account, is this only for me or a Microsoft BUG?
I have the same question (0)

In General Posting Setup you can type the account number directly. You don't have to select it. The lookup page uses predefined filters that you can’t remove.

You have select boolean "Visible all accounts"

It show all accounts in filter

    if we dont select boolean
it filters category , sub category

    Hope this clarified

    Warm Regards

    Hello,

That isn’t a bug. When you open the G/L Account lookup from General Posting Setup, Business Central applies system filters so you can only pick valid posting accounts. The filter on Account Subcategory Entry No. = 0 is system-controlled and cannot be removed.
Any G/L account with a subcategory will therefore be hidden in that lookup.
    So the behavior is expected.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh

    Hello,

This is standard behavior in Business Central, not a confirmed bug.

When selecting a G/L account in General Posting Setup, the lookup applies system filters, including Account Subcategory, which cannot be removed through the UI. This limits the list to accounts that meet posting setup criteria. To see all accounts, you can use Page Inspection to adjust filters temporarily or customize the lookup page via an extension.

If unrestricted selection is required, an AL customization is the only permanent solution.
