Dear Microsoft Team,

I am writing on behalf of Humanity for Development and Prosperity Organization (HDPO). We are currently using Microsoft 365 Premium and make our payments directly to Microsoft.

We are interested in acquiring a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central license. However, we would like to clarify whether this product must be obtained through an authorized partner or if it can be purchased directly from Microsoft.

Our preference is to purchase the license directly and retain full administrative control, rather than having it managed by a partner. Could you please confirm whether this arrangement is possible?

Business Central licensing can only be purchased through CSPs (Cloud Solution Provider). A lot of partners should be willing to work with you to manage licensing and let you deal with the rest of your licensing and software stack separately.

If you are trying to implement BC I would still recommend working with a partner but if you have the in-house staff and support it shouldn't be an issue to get licensing from a partner.
