Have been encountering this even after setting maxvalue for both the client timeout settings in business central configuration.

Web client session has also been configured to 10 hours, but still facing this message when users are using the system.

Will appreciate any tips that other users have discovered to resolve this message for idle sessions.

Seems that the users automatically get disconnected after 8-9 hours of connection.
I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

BC SaaS has a hard web session limit (~8–9 hours)

Client timeout / web session settings do not apply to SaaS

Microsoft controls session lifetime for security

Users will be disconnected even if active or idle

    What you can do

Ask users to close/reopen BC daily

    Save work often

    Don’t leave sessions open overnight

Use Job Queue for long-running work

No supported way to extend it.

I'm curious, what kind of operation requires staying active for 8-9 hours?
As OussamaSabbouh mentioned, if you need long-running jobs, please use a Job Queue.

    Thanks.

    hi @OussamaSabbouh, it's actually an On-Premise installation.
Therefore, based on what you say, even after setting maximum for the various configurations, Microsoft side will still restrict a 'hard limit'?
is there any documentation or URL that I can refer to? as my client is the one complaining about this and will need some documentation to be able to show them if possible.

hi @YUN ZHU, the customer is actually a call / service centre.
They start work around 7-8am and end work around 8 - 9pm.
Therefore, they will need to be logged on more than 12 hours at times depending on shifts.

When they are using the system halfway, they will get paused and refresh message, then BC will proceed to log the user out, causing them inconvenience and frustration which we're trying to find any solution to this.
