I guess this is more of a post-mortem. But wondering if anyone can speak to the logic of the Tenant Media table when it comes to Item images. In this case, we have been on BC SaaS v26.5 since early last month. Been live with BC SaaS for over a year now.
Up until just this past Friday, our items consistently displays images when using the Items list page's Tall Tiles view. Starting then all of a sudden seemingly random items wouldn't display their associated image. Although restoring our production environment into a sandbox resulted in the same items displaying images as expected.
The issue wasn't a broken/unassigned image placeholder appearing for the items in question. And drilling into the specific Item card resulted in the image appearing just fine. Just as suddenly the issue that began this past Friday resolved itself just a few minutes ago. No one fixed anything, in terms of manually re-uploading the item images, or my restarting the production environment.
Just wondering of any server-side caching or something affecting a BC SaaS environment that could come into play. Looking into Table 2000000184 - Tenant Media in production, Prohibit Cache is set to false for all entries.
Here's a vid cap where I walk through the examples -->
Walkthrough. The working sandbox example was based on old data. I restored a production backup into a different sandbox as of 9:30 AM ET today and it worked fine as well. All of a sudden our production environment started working again for this functionality. With no one "fixing" anything.
Thoughts?
