hello,

hoping i can get some help here. I am needing to merge two customers and am getting the below error. Could anyone tell me what this means or how I can get around this?

Error message:
Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action. (TableData 1692 Posted Bank Deposit Line Read: Base Application)

Thanks!

    Hello,

This error indicates that the user performing the customer merge does not have sufficient permissions to read data from the Posted Bank Deposit Line table (Table 1692).

During the merge process, Business Central checks all related entries linked to both customers, including bank deposits, and if access to any related table is missing, the merge is blocked.

To resolve this, the user will need additional permission for TableData 1692 with at least Read access, or alternatively test the merge using a SUPER user profile to confirm it is purely a permission issue.

    Hope this helps!

Can you confirm if you are referring to BC or FO?

    Kind regards, Adis
