Hi Community,

I wonder if anyone has any advise for this.

Whenever we sell an item, AR accounts would like to know how much we earned from the sold items tied to the sold item's Purchase Cost .

Is there a way to do this in Business Central?

Thank you!`

    Hi,

You can analyze this directly in Business Central using the Item Ledger Entries and Value Entries tables.

    > Each sales transaction links revenue with the applied purchase cost through cost application.
    > To see earnings (gross margin), run the Item Sales by Customer/Item reports or build a query combining sales value and cost amount from value entries.
    > This will show profit per item based on actual purchase cost applied at time of sale.

    Thanks
    Rishabh
