One of my customer, using shopify for more than 2 years.Recently noticed that Closed Orders in Shopify are Re imported to Business central in Shopify Orders page. What activity that might trigger this and what are the impacts on having the closed orders in Shopify Orders page.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

Closed Shopify orders re-import when something modifies them in Shopify (tags, notes, fulfillment updates, apps, or unarchiving). The BC connector re-imports any order that was changed after last sync.

Impact is minimal — they just appear in the Shopify Orders list. They don’t recreate sales documents or affect inventory unless you manually process them. Mostly just visual clutter.

    Hi,

If an order marked as Closed is updated (e.g., payment status, fulfillment, or custom field), the connector can treat it as a modified order and re-import it.

This will result in Duplicate entries in the Shopify Orders page in Business Central.

    Thanks

Thanks for your reply. But those orders were older one which was created in 2020, 2021. we haven't modified anything in the orders in Shopify Page.

Though it is minimal impact or no impact, the client doesn't want
to view those orders. A view is created in the Shopify orders page to filter the open orders, but still they are worried on those records.

    Hi,

The most likely cause is a sync reset or filter change in the Shopify connector. When the sync start date or status mapping is modified, the connector can reprocess historical orders, even from years ago. Restarting job queues or refreshing the integration can also trigger this.

    Thanks
    Rishabh
